The main aim of this DX-mission was to receive and to make recordings of regional IRIB MW stations from all the provinces (ostans) of the Islamic Republic of Iran with identification announcements (except Alborz province where is no regional MW broadcasting at all).
The mission has started in February 2017. Many interesting air recordings were made since February: from routine IRIB Radio Markaze Azerbaijaneh Gharb which is always booming with superstrong signal here to quite difficult for reception IRIB Radio Semnan, IRIB Radio Qom or IRIB Radio Mazandaran. Almost all the stations were received with Degen's ferrite and telescopic whip antennas in park, Azerbaijaneh Gharb, Mahabad and Chahar Mahaal and Bakhtiari were received with the same receiver but using 25 m wire as antenna in QRMy location.
Radio Tehran is actually not a regional program but a special municipal IRIB channel, however I included it to my collection because there is no any other regional MW broadcasting in Tehran province.
The DX-hunting was quite fascinating and exciting because I received also some other interesting stations on the IRIB frequencies when trying to catch ID announcements there. Thanks to Mauno Ritola from Finland for invaluable help and information on actual IRIB frequencies (some data in public frequency bases in Internet is inexact and obsolete). So, Iranian stations can be not only a source of QRM for European amateurs but also interesting DX-trophies.
