Empire Radio will repeat 40th Anniversary broadcast

 This Sunday (30th September) the 40th anniversary Empire Radio programmes will be repeated on short wave.

Join the original 1978 team of Keith Rogers, Chris Cooper and Albert Hall for an entertaining mix of music and comedy. We’ll be looking back, over 40 years, but certainly not stuck in the past.

The most likely frequency is 5825 kHz, with 5800 kHz being an alternative. Of course, these days it is possible to listen to short wave on the internet, via a WebSDR, such as the one at the University of Twente in The Netherlands, which I’ll try and tune to myself: http://websdr.ewi.utwente.nl:8901/

The Empire will kick off at 0800 GMT and run until 1300. Programmes will then be repeated 1400-1800. We hope you will be able to tune in, and enjoy our brand of broadcasting lunacy!

eQSL Radio Vocea Sperantei

 eQSL for tropo reception of 50 W FM transmitter in Craiova (840 km). Hmmm… I just checked all possible stations on 87.6 MHz once again and found that transmitter seems to be in Chișinău/Dumbrava really (relay via Radio Stil, I guess). So, the wrong transmitter location is my blunder, because I mentioned “Craiova” in reception report mistakenly. Thanks a lot, Emilia!
